Our family yoga instructor Eileen Marie Simoneau has felt the mind, body, soul connection in her personal yoga practice for almost two decades. As a Montessori teacher for 8 years, she has witnessed the positive affects of yoga in her classroom, daily. She is a dedicated, certified Kidding Around Yoga Family instructor devoted to guiding children and their parents to finding their instrinsic healthy inner peace. Eileen, also a certified Montessori teacher,  includes educational content in every yoga session, along with, traditional yoga poses, dancing, laughter, games, good vibes and a lovely guided relaxation.

 

Eileen has experience teaching children from 18 months to 14-years-old and still provides yoga at Orlando Day Nursery for underserved children. In addition, she spent 18 years as a photojournalist with the Orlando Sentinel, both writing and photographing news events locally and nationally. She also taught photojournalism at the University of Central Florida.

 

She was raised throughout the country on US Air Force bases from Anchorage, Alaska to Montgomery, Alabama.  Central Florida has been her home since the mid-70s. Eileen and her husband Steve now live in DeBary with their 20-year-old son, Trevor, a recent Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate, two Siamese and one Maine Coon cat, who join her yoga practice at home. She works as a flight attendant for an MCO-based charter airline and practices yoga daily in hotel rooms around the world.
